Grigorios Mavrogeorgis — Director of GMSOFT and independent Business Central consultant

Hi, I’m Grigorios Mavrogeorgis. Director and Founder of GMSOFT, a Microsoft Dynamics partner serving the UK, Greece, and Italy. The group operates through GMSOFT Limited in the UK (gmsoft.co.uk) and GMSOFT in Greece (gmsoft.gr). I have 15 years on Business Central and NAV, and 30 years in ERP overall, and I work mostly with manufacturing and distribution companies that need their ERP to actually fit how their factory runs.

What I Do

I specialise in Business Central manufacturing implementations and the awkward problems that come with them. Costing that doesn’t reconcile, planning runs that suggest the wrong thing, shop-floor processes that BC almost-but-not-quite supports out of the box. After 30 years of fixing these in real factories, I have a fairly direct way of working: identify the real bottleneck, fix that one thing properly, then move on.

The companies I help are usually mid-sized manufacturers and distributors in the UK, Greece, and the rest of Europe. The work tends to fall into three buckets:

  • BC manufacturing implementations — production orders, BOMs, routings, MRP/MPS, costing, shop-floor data capture.
  • Performance and integration work — locking diagnosis, AL extensions, MCP/AI integrations, custom API pages.
  • AppSource apps — published 4 apps on Microsoft AppSource through GMSOFT, plus open-source AL on GitHub.

Recognition & Community

Background

15 years on Business Central and NAV. Before that, ERP work on other systems going back roughly 30 years. I’ve worked on factory floors in the UK, Greece, and across Europe — small workshops and large plants — and I’m fluent in both English and Greek.

I write here because most of the answers I needed early in my career weren’t in any documentation. They came from someone who’d already been bitten by the same bug. This blog tries to do that for the next consultant or planner who’s stuck.
